However, the epic didn’t end when the music stopped! Outside on the streets of New York City, I cornered Terrycloth Green and demanded an interview for our podcast, the audio of which can be heard on Episode 1: Nerdy Knitting.
But behold! Posted below is the full video version of Andrea’s interview with superstar internet celebrity sock puppet of greatness Terrycloth Green: Social Knitworking hits hard with the tough questions; TCG does not talk about girls’ butts; Andrea makes out with a sock puppet.
Welcome to the official first episode of the Social Knitworking podcast!

In this episode, we discuss fandom knits (including Whedonverse, Warcraft, Doctor Who, and Harry Potter) and knitting for nerds and geeks; Joanna reports from the Gencon floor; Andrea interviews Terrycloth Green; we steal the “Stick It in Your Queue” segment from the sadly defunct Dharmalars podcast.

This past weekend found two of our SocialKnitworking heroines, Andrea and Joanna, in New York City for several epic adventures. Apparently, as early as Friday night, there was so much epic just at rock show with Shael Riley and Schaffer the Darklord that Joanna… well, let’s just listen to her voicemail, shall we?
A full recap of this adventure weekend, including a review of the Shael/Schaffer show plus our thoughts on the Video Game Vixens burlesque, will be covered in our inaugaral podcast on Nerdy Knitting, coming at you end of August.

We are now accepting callers for these beautiful pendant keychains… I mean, for the feedback section of the podcast! Being that we have yet to start recording Episode One yet, we’re asking for any questions or suggestions from friends or followers. If you want to know something about knitting, Philadelphia, or any of the many synonyms for taint, just leave a message.
The phone number to call isĀ 215.839.6373 (215.839.NERD). Yes, that’s right. The word NERD is totally in my phone number. Suck on that, geeks.
This is the first test post for the new blog/podcast, Social Knitworking. More information to come soon as we get the site setup with the others. If you have any suggestions for topics on the first episiode, submit a comment!
